South African DJ and production powerhouse Campmasters are back with a massive statement.

The Durban-based duo will release their highly-anticipated double album ‘Camp Yakithi II’ with gamma. this Friday, 30 October 2026. The 25-track project is a deep dive into South Africa’s dance evolution, seamlessly fusing Gqom, 3-Step, Afro-tech and Amapiano.

While the project showcases their versatility, it remains rooted in the signature Durban sound that made them household names.

Formed in Umlazi, Durban in 2010, Campmasters made up of Mzwandile Khuluse and Khumbulani “Wonder Boy” Langa have spent over a decade shaping South African dance music with their gritty Gqom productions and high-profile collaborations.

‘Camp Yakithi II’ is structured across two distinct discs. Disc one features 10 tracks exploring the hypnotic sounds of 3-Step and Afro-tech, while disc two delivers 15 hard-hitting Gqom anthems for the dance floor.

The album boasts an all-star line-up including DJ Maphorisa, DJ Tira, Xduppy, Young Stunna, Nkosazana Daughter, DJ Veek, Blaq Seed, Zeh McGeba and Miikey Ndlovu, among others.

Leading the release is the focus track “Ukube Bengizenzela” featuring Young Stunna, DJ Veek, Miikey Ndlovu and Blaq Seed. The uplifting anthem carries a message of hope and encouragement, bringing together voices from different corners of Mzansi’s music scene.

Speaking on the project, Mzwandile Khuluse said: “This project is about showcasing our unique versatility across different South African sounds. It carries two different discs with different styles of production – we made this project for everyone. Gqom, 3-Step, Piano, everyone is covered.

“When people listen to this project they must understand that it’s produced to fit in anywhere, with features from different genres in the South African music industry. It’s not only focused on the expected Campmasters Durban sound – it’s about our growth and being versatile and producing music that people love.”

The album comes off the back of a stellar run for the duo. Their single “Vathela” gained viral traction across social platforms, while “Awungazi” featuring DJ Tira, General C’Mamane and Pcee was crowned Gagasi FM’s Song of the Year.
