
Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) has announced significant updates to its popular Starlet and Starlet Cross ranges, reinforcing the brand’s promise of safety, value and everyday enjoyment.
The updates include:
– Enhanced Safety Features: Side and curtain airbags are now standard on Starlet Xi and Xs grades, as well as the Starlet Cross Xs, complementing the existing driver and passenger airbags.
– Extended Service Plan: The Toyota Starlet range now comes with a 60,000km service plan as standard, up from the previous 45,000km, providing greater peace of mind and improved value for customers.

The Toyota Starlet and Starlet Cross have proven to be highly popular in South Africa, with 15,238 units sold in the first eight months of 2025 alone. The updates are set to further boost their appeal making them compelling choices in the passenger car market.
